Privacy Policy

What PumpkinStencil collects, how your photos are handled and your choices.

Last updated: 2026-09-30

The short version

  • Classic mode never uploads your photo. It is processed in your browser and stays on your device.
  • AI likeness mode sends your photo once to our image provider to draw the stencil. We store the finished stencil in your account, not your original photo.
  • We do not sell your data and do not use your photos to train AI models.

What we collect

  1. Account details: email address and name if you create an account (or sign in with Google).
  2. AI stencils: the stencils you generate in AI mode, so you can download them again.
  3. Payments: handled by our payment processor. We see the plan, amount and status, never your full card number.
  4. Usage data: pages visited and actions such as "downloaded a PDF", to understand what works. We use privacy-friendly analytics and count ChatGPT, Bing and Pinterest referrals.
  5. Cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies where applicable.

How photos are processed

| Mode | Where it runs | Stored? | | --------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Classic | Your browser | No, the photo never leaves your device | | AI likeness | Our servers and our AI image provider | The original is sent once to generate the stencil; we keep only the result | | Lit preview with your own pumpkin | Your browser | No |

Only upload photos you have the right to use. Please do not upload photos of other people without their permission.

Who we share data with

Service providers that run the site: hosting (Cloudflare), storage of generated stencils, AI image generation providers, email delivery and payment processing. Each receives only what it needs.

Your choices

  • Delete your account and stencils from Settings, or email us and we will do it within 30 days.
  • Unsubscribe from holiday emails with one click; renewal reminders for annual plans are part of the service.
  • Block cookies in your browser; the free tools still work.

Children

The site is for a general audience. Accounts and purchases are for adults; children should use the tools with a parent.
