A Yorkshire Terrier stencil works best when it focuses on the face: the small upright ears, the dark eyes and the long silky hair parted down the middle. Upload a photo of your Yorkie, choose AI likeness at Medium or Hard, and print the Large PDF so the fine hair stays carvable.

What makes a Yorkshire Terrier stencil look like a Yorkshire Terrier

Yorkies are small, but their outline is distinctive: two V-shaped ears standing straight up, a flat-topped head, and long hair falling from a center part on either side of the face. Many owners keep a puppy cut, which gives a rounder, teddy-like face.

Fine hair is the challenge. AI likeness groups it into a few long, flowing locks on each side of the muzzle and keeps the topknot bow if your Yorkie wears one. Printing at the Large size gives those locks enough width to carve.

Photo tips for a Yorkshire Terrier stencil

  • A close-up head shot works better than a full-body photo.
  • Shoot at the dog’s eye level, not from above.
  • Brush the face first so the center part is visible.

Carving a Yorkshire Terrier pumpkin

  • Carve the eyes, nose and ears first.
  • Use a fine saw for the long hair locks and keep each lock as one cut.
  • Use a 10 inch pumpkin with the Large PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Yorkie too detailed for a pumpkin?

Not with AI likeness. It simplifies the hair into a few locks. Print Large and pick Medium for a balance of likeness and ease.

Does a puppy cut work?

Yes. A puppy cut gives a round, cute stencil that is easier to carve.

Can I include the hair bow?

Yes, if it is in the photo. It becomes a small shape on top of the head.
